The

Southwest has been hit with a steady, unwavering downpour of rain all day, the

MET Office is warning of further heavy rain and the Saltash waterfront is yet again

at risk of flooding.

The

sea can rise very high along the waterfront, reaching the Livewire building and

lapping at the Ashtorre slip road. Seaweed is often left leaving the whole area of the waterfront slippery and dangerous. Boats moored

along the Tamar estuary can get damaged in the stormy weather. Let’s hope

the swans are having fun at least!

The government Environmental

Agency warns floodwater can be dangerous as it could be contaminated with

sewage water and may be deeper at sections than you might think.
