PREMIER DIVISION Probus...0 Plymouth Parkway...2

PARKWAY bounced back from their disappointing defeat at Wadebridge to get their season underway with a hard-fought victory at the Playing Fields.

Probus had the better of the opening 20 minutes, but Parkway’s Daniel Worth put in Lewis Young to open the scoring.

Parkway were by the better team in the second half and Joe Knight followed up, after Young had seen two efforts blocked, to complete the scoring.

St Stephens Borough...7 Biscovey...1

BOROUGH signalled their arrival in the Premier in style as Clive Hodge’s side put their opening day defeat behind them and surged to victory.

Stuart Fort gave Borough the lead only for Joshua Hammond to restore parity.

But the final 30 minutes was carnage as goals rained into the visitors’ net as Jamie Walton-Gould notched a hat-trick with Fort following suit, completing his treble from the penalty spot before substitute Jon Savigar completed the scoring.

Launceston...0 Torpoint Athletic..2

THE Tamarsiders’ perfect start to the defence of their title continued with a third straight win — but they were made to fight hard at Pennygillam.

Dean Cardew steered home Tom Payne’s cross, and intercepted a back-pass to complete the scoring.

Bodmin Town...0 Tavistock...2

FOR the first time this season the Lambs ended a game with a full complement of players on the pitch, and it paid dividends as a goal in each half from James Daniels and Steve Matthews gave them victory.

Bere Alston United...1 St Dennis...4

A DEPLETED Bere side proved no match for last season’s runaway Division One champions.

Ryan Ayres gave the Saints an early lead, but Bere hit back to level with Will Westlake scoring from the penalty spot.

That was as good as it got for the home side as further goals from Carl Rickard, Alex Woodcock and Ayres completed the visitors’ victory.

Bude Town...2 Saltash United...0

THE Ashes were left rueing missed chances as they suffered their second consecutive defeat.

Bude found the back of the net with Steve Box scoring in the first half before Jason Veale wrapped up proceedings.

DIVISION ONE St Dominick...0 Elburton Villa...4

VILLA sit proudly on top of the table after recording a second consecutive 4-0 victory.

The visitors took control of the game with two goals in the final five minutes of the first half. Neil Coccoran and Ryan Elliott were both on target.

The latter went on to complete his second hat-trick in four days with the Saints having Tom Hall sent off.

Liskeard Athletic..5 Camelford...1

THE Blues made it two out of two with their second comprehensive victory.

Ryan Thorogood opened the home side’s account with two goals. Lee Caers made it 3-0 at the break.

Adie Walton opened the second half scoring and, although Aaron Sleeman pulled one back for the Camels, it was the Blues who had the final word with Caers completing his hat-trick.

Polperro...0 Millbrook...2

MILLBROOK inflicted a first defeat of the season on Polperro.

A goalless first half was followed by an early Millbrook goal in the second period as Harry Hook latched on to Roger Bonaparte’s flick to score.

The points were assured late on when Jason Richards put Sean Evans in.

Edgcumbe...3 Plymstock United...0

THE U’s suffered a second comprehensive defeat in four days.

John Harris opened Edgcumbe’s account and then set up Shaun Heward to notch a second before McKenzie Arnold completed the scoring from the penalty spot.

The U’s misery was completed when Craig Roberts received a red card.
