Thanks. No, just a keen amateur. A good camera really helps, but some of these are just taken with a fairly cheap compact (Lumix TZ10). I help run the photo competitions on iHerald, which has really helped me improve.
Fantastic. Thanks very much. I have photoshop at work and use it lots. I can make the width of the panoramas that width and then add white space in to fill up the rest to stop the site cropping down the photos. Should be able to give that a try in my lunch hour tomorrow. Thanks, Jamie.
Hi Jamie I found out this today for you: Optimum picture size is 450px high by 274px wide. You can use some type of PhotoShop with which to re-size or there are a few free websites, like http://tinyurl.com/2svp6w but they will just squash the pic down to size – you need to make it roughly the right shape first (you can use any graphics programme for that – even Paint) Hope this is of some use...
I don't suppose you know the maximum pixel size needed? I might add a border to them next week, so its only the border that gets cropped off, but its all a bit of guesswork. I'm an active member of iHerald, and help to run the photo competitions on there but have just found this site, looks great for the Saltash community, of which I'm now glad to be a part of. Jamie.
