Has anyone seen the Saltash Fisher Folk?

Funded by grants raised by the Saltash Gateway Association, Fisher Folk was designed, created, and erected by local artist Rosie Fierek as part of the Saltash Art Trail.

A section of the mural
The mural consists of eleven elements including people, boats and birds, and is set over a 30ft long wall to create a scene from the waterfront in the 1800s - when the wall itself was part of a fishman's cottage. The live size characters are made up of several smaller ceramic tiles, which slot together cleverly to give the impression of one large piece when viewed from a distance.
After completing the mural Rosie invited local residents to attend workshops to make their own tiles containing a word that they felt represents Saltash. These tiles have now been incorporated into the mural and will certainly be 'one to show the grandchildren' for the participants in the future.
The project, that was officially opened by Mayor Sue Hooper MBE on 15th November 2009, is extremely unique and well worth a visit if you haven't already seen it. It will hopefully be around for decades, if not centuries to come, and is a fitting and stunning tribute to the town's history.
Saltash Fisher Folk can be found under the viaduct on Silver Street.

I'm sure there is but it's hard to find much information on it! It's part of the Community Gateway project which is a 20 year plan, so perhaps there's more to come. For information on the project visit: tinyurl.com/y8qck6o
I do know of one other project by Chrissy Wallis, an artist from Calstock. It's a mosaic of a coffee cup and can be found at the bottom of Fore Street. For pics and info visit: tinyurl.com/yc7zdqk
