Review of Saltash Sports

Saltash Sports has

been a part of Fore Street in Saltash for a long time but it has only been the

past three years that the shop has been owned and run by Amanda and Nick

Taylor.

Amanda and Nick have

lived in Saltash for about seventeen years. They moved to the South West in

search of a better life for their family. For a while they ran a catering

business in Plymouth but the hours were long. When the previous owners wanted

to sell the shop Saltash Sports in Saltash they jumped at the chance to change

their business and way of life.

Nick and Amanda felt

that a sports shop fit into their family life and interests perfectly. They have

four children who are all very enthusiastic about sport and participate in various

local teams. Nick is a passionate runner; he has run in five London marathons

and one marathon in New York. He also manages the Saltash junior football team.

Nick’s enthusiasm for

running is evident at Saltash Sports. At the forefront of the shop is a specialist

video gate analysis that uses a running machine and video camera to help advise

runners on the exact footwear necessary for the perfectly fitting running shoe.

Saltash Sports stock

a wide variety of sports equipment and clothing, including swimming, cricket,

darts and tennis and their prices are very competitive. The shop also stocks Weird

Fish clothing and local school uniforms for Saltash.net, Brunel, St Stephens

and Landulph schools.

Saltash Sports also has

links with China Fleet, St Mellion and the Saltash Leisure Centre where they

conduct sessions advising people on the best running shoes using their expert

equipment. Saltash Sports is a family run and friendly business that has become

a specialist shop for runners with a growing reputation not just in Saltash but

for the whole of the South West.
