So what is DPF? It stands for Diesel Particulate Filter, which are now commonly fitted in modern Diesel vehicles. These filters are designed to filter the excess carbon inside the exhaust system, and using a system known as ‘regeneration’ the filter is designed to burn off the excess carbon that builds up over time.

However, this is only removed over long journeys and can become clogged up over shorter trips. This in turn can void the cars warranty and leave you with a hefty bill to replace.

Here at Fab Exhausts we can remove this filter and remap the ECU to tell the car that there is no filter present. This in turn can improve fuel efficiency and is a permanent, cost effective solution.
