2011 Saltash Mayfair a Big Hit!

The Saltash Mayfair this year saw a huge turn-out of crowds, and even the rain did nothing to dampen the spirits or crowds on the two day event.

The Saltash Mayfair on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May was bigger than last year with 100 stalls lining Fore Street and many shops getting into the Mayfair spirit, like Evans of Saltash who offered a special 10% discount off everything in store and Ethical Living 15%.
The stalls had a good selection of local produce on offer, including a great many food stands and bric-a-brac, books, and new this year a children’s clothes seller. There were also plenty of raffles and fun games along the street, including face painting outside Piglets walking on water and Mickey and Minnie Mouse handing out sweets outside Newell’s Travel Agency.
People enjoyed plenty of music at the bottom of Fore Street starting with the Cornish Wurzells and the Cooperative Big Band on Saturday and the Saltash Town Band on Sunday.
The Saltash Mayfair is organized by a small local committee and they work very hard every year to run the best Mayfair they can. Any one able to help to make the 2012 Mayfair the best weekend of the year for the whole town is very much appreciated.
Comments
