Saltash has some great pubs to enjoy a lively night out or unwind after a hard week at work. Below are the top five best pubs in Saltash. Maybe you disagree, let me know or write your own review on the pubs listed below!

The Union Inn

The Union Inn is one of my favourite pubs for miles around, with its glorious Union Jack flag mural emblazoned on its walls. This is one of the first views of Cornwall as you cross the Tamar Bridge into Saltash. Worth a visit any time but really stands apart from the rest in the summer months as you sit outside on the picnic benches with your favourite tipple and bask in the sun while staring out at the waterfront.

Two Bridges Inn

The Two Bridges Inn is a very popular pub, for the locals that discover this pub they invariably return time after again. I have never eaten here but I have been told that the food and beer is good and brought with a caring touch. This is my number two pub in Saltash as the landlord and landlady are lovely people who care about their service. The beer garden at the back is great fun for all the family in the warmer months too.

The Brunel Inn

The Brunel Inn is a very popular pub that slowly declined over the years, everybody is waiting with bated breath to see if the new owners can revive this Saltash heritage to its former pub glory and bring it back to the number one pub in Saltash!

The Ploughboy Inn

Number four on the list the Ploughboy Inn is invariably extremely busy although many of you have told me that you can’t quite understand why. I have to agree with you the food and service is not that great but this is an old fashioned British pub at its best; good food, good beer and great atmosphere.

The Rodney

The Rodney is actually a grade II listed building and part of Saltash history. The Rodney is also a very popular pub that markets itself on a traditional English style pub and yet serves Thai food which is a bit confusing at first. If you have not been here before it is worth a visit as the food is actually delicious and the atmosphere good.

Your crazy! The food at Ploughboy is awful - is that really the best that Saltash has to offer? and the Two Bridges is a pit - if you ever dare to enter and you are not a regular you will get stared and laughed at - and thats just by the landlord!! Ha, ha!

This post is rubbish! The ploughboy is the best pub in saltash by far, hence why it is always busy, the foods not michallin star standard, but your not paying for that! its just good honest pub grub.
Go to the brunell if you want a fight, ive never seen a window last more than a month in there!
The rodney is where all of the strange people go, and has changed hands with owners realising there is no chance for a profit, 3x in last 6-7 years!
Walk into the twobridges and you will feel like your in your grans living room, but its not as big as that! Also the 5 people in there will stare at you as your not a regular and so not welcome......
The union inn is ok but be warned on a sat/fri night if they have a live band on you will lose your hearing and the pub turns into a mosh pit fairly soon after that with all of the groupies and ravers etc. also you will have the daunting walk up station hill to face on the way home.
Other than the ploughboy in saltash there is the cesil arms which although out of the way provides a relaxing drink in a friendly atmosphere, and the working mens club which is very popular and still serves cheap drinks!
