Kernock Cottages Offer Fantastic Local Holiday Cottages

If you are looking for something a little

different this summer holiday, with a fantastic venue where you can relax and

get away, but still have all of the attractions of Southeast Cornwall and the

city of Plymouth within easy reach? Then look no further than the friendly, family

run Kernock Cottages.

Kernock Cottages offer four elegant and spacious

cottages completely isolated from the world with twenty five acres of land in the

Pillaton area of Saltash. The cottages, owned and run by Beth and Hugh Bailey have

been given a 5* with Gold Awards. Each cottage has little touches to make your

holiday special, like Egyptian cotton sheets, complimentary bathrobes and Aromatherapy

toiletries.

Kernock Cottages used to be the largest Heather

farm in the country and can still be seen at a far hill on the land. Heather in

Princess Ann’s wedding bouquet came from the farm. The luscious green trees and

rolling hills that surround the impressive 18th century farm house and

cottages is owned by Kernock cottages and guests can roam freely.

One of the cottages is specially designed to cater

for disabled visitors; all of the cottages are family friendly with cot’s

available, stair guards and a great selection of toys. There is even a wooden

adventure playground to amuse the kids. Beth Bailey says, “We are so far from the road here the kids can run around and play and

parents never have to worry” Beth’s own two girls always make friends with

the kids visiting the cottages, who often return year after year. Beth laughs, “Sometimes I come home and there can be up

to 10 kids watching T.V in our home!”

Kernock Cottages opened in 2003 with repeat visitors from all over the world, the cottages are popular for large families

to holiday together; it has also become a popular venue for guests at weddings at

Pentillie Castle close by. The cottages all have T.V’s and broadband and you

also receive complimentary guest passes at China Fleet Leisure Centre, so it is

a perfect place for all seasons and all occasions.
