Guests were invited to dinner at the exclusive and luxurious setting of the China Fleet Country Club by the wonderful sound of Scottish bagpipes. The Mayor and other dignitaries were welcomed by everyone singing the Cornish song Trelawney by Robert Hawker.
The Charity Ball dinner was in aid of the Mayors own charity fund, the main beneficiary being the Saltash First Responders. A raffle was held during the meal and the event was supported by local people and businesses in aid of the charity.
James at JKYachts, a local yachting company won the secret raffle given by co-op Funeral Care with the princely sum of £65. James won a fantastic and fitting glass yacht for his efforts!
