Max has done the make-up for big movies and T.V productions like Black Swan, The Dead, Casualty and the Lord of the Rings Orks on Born of Hope. He will be on hand all weekend for free. The Mayor elect Cllr. Collin Oakes will officially open the new premises at 1.00pm on Saturday 7th May.
At Loopy Looks you can buy and rent a staggering amount of fancy dress clothes and accessories, including licensed outfits from movies and famous characters. Marilyn Grose the owner said, “We have everything you need for a party or special occasion all under one roof, as well as costumes and accessories for theatre productions.”
What makes Loopy Looks different and so exceptional is that you can choose your outfit, make sure it fits and select any extras to accompany your outfit all at the same time; there is now a room for wigs and hats and a room for make-up and you can book a face-painting service.
At Loopy Looks the choice is vast – you can make your outfit up with just an odd item for a quick and easy look or make your outfit as elaborate as you like for that special event, depending on your requirements and size of your budget.
Loopy Looks costumes also works with the national curriculum, book days and school productions, working with parents and schools to provide the best costumes possible for both primary and senior schools.
Staff at Loopy Looks all have experience and history of the theatre. Marilyn started the Youngstagers, an award winning youth theatre group, about twenty years ago, that hold performances and productions every year, many written by Marilyn herself.
The staff has been trained as make-up artists that can do children’s face painting or finish off the perfect make-up for special occasions. This year they did the face painting for local National Trust properties Cadburys Easter egg hunts.
