Keep Cornwall Whole; a cross-party, cross-Cornwall campaign set up by Adam Killeya the Saltash Mayor in protest of the government’s new proposed scheme to neatly pigeon-hole Cornwall and Devon together in one category. Adam Killeya told Saltash People that Keep Cornwall Whole already has huge support, including unanimous support from Cornwall Council, all six Cornish MP’s, many parishes and Cornish organizations and many of the Mayors from the neighbouring towns in Cornwall.
Keep Cornwall Whole is organizing a Respect the Tamar Rally this weekend which is intended to show the government that the border between Devon and Cornwall is an ancient and distinctive one and that people in Cornwall want it kept that way.
Respect the Tamar Rally will begin this Saturday 9th October with a parade down the Cornish border stopping at various destinations on the way; 9.30am Morwenstow, 11.00am Bude Traingle and a reception by the Mayor of Bude, 1.00pm Launceston Square and a reception by the Mayor of Launceston and then Calstock and Callington with times to be confirmed.
On Sunday 10th October there will be sailing under the Tamar Bridge about 1.30pm to show the importance of the history of the Tamar Valley to the border of Devon and Cornwall finishing at 2.00pm on the Jubilee Green.
Marianne’s in Fore Street has been set up as a campaign shop where you can find more information about Keep Cornwall Whole and the rally. Adam Killeya says, “Please come and spread the word! The more people we get the better the chance we have of Keeping Saltash Cornish and Keeping Cornwall Whole!”

I've never considered myself a Cornish Nationalist, quite the opposite in fact, however I think Saltash should be kept part of Cornwall. I could kind of see the point if there was just a land boarder but there's a freaking-huge river in the way. This makes no sense.
