Discount on Petrol in Saltash

People in Saltash in possession of a SALTASHCARD can now be awarded 2p a litre discount on petrol at Saltash Texaco garage, Richard Bickford from the SALTASHCARD Scheme confirmed exclusively to Saltash People.

Councillor Joe Ellison has been working tirelessly for the new discounted price to be put in place. Richard said "We are delighted to be able to help local people to get a decent discount on such an essential item of day to day life".

SALTASHCARD wishes to thank Saltash TEXACO for joining the scheme and being prepared to help locals buy their fuel locally instead of driving across the Tamar Bridge to purchase petrol at a previously lower price.

The SALTASHCARD was introduced in 2009 to try and encourage local people to use local shops and businesses, the idea being that supporting the local economy is a key part of making Saltash a more sustainable and pleasant town to live.

The SALTASHCARD scheme has over 1,000 cards in circulation and around 25 participating businesses. The new dicount on local petrol is even more incentive to have a card. You can buy a card for just £2 from the Bookshelf in Fore Street, Saltash.

To get your 2p discount on fuel, make sure you present your SALTASHCARD at the checkout before you pay. This offer does not currently include 'Key fuel Card' customers.
