The 1623 Theatre Company will once again bring their own brand of classic Shakespeare to Mary Newman’s Cottage in Culver Road on July 16th.

Following very successful productions of ‘The Course of True Love’ and ‘Sinful ShaXXXeare’ the popular touring company will present an evening of the Bard’s comic side with scenes from plays including As You Like It, Measure for Measure, The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Twelfth Night.

Described as "uplifting ... unusual and entertaining" by the British Theatre Guide, the 1623 Theatre Company performs in non-traditional theatre spaces to engage new and existing audiences with Shakespeare’s inspirational language, vibrant characters and exciting sense of theatre.

The doors to the cottage will open at 6.00p.m and the audience is invited to bring a picnic to enjoy in this beautiful setting. Refreshments are available to purchase from the Cottage cafeteria before the fun begins at 7.30.

The event is always very popular and entry is by ticket only, which can be purchased by calling Brigette Dixon on 01579 384381. Tickets are £10 per person.
