May Fair AGM

The Saltash May Fair Committee has announced that their Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday July 19th at 7.00p.m. in the SHADO Centre, Plougastel Road, Saltash.

Whilst the 2011 event was generally thought to have been another tremendous success it was not without it’s problems, which will no doubt have an effect on how May Fair is organised next year. The Committee hope that the AGM will provide a platform for local traders, the organisations that booked street stalls and the public in general to discuss how the Towns major annual Civic Event will evolve, and everyone is welcome.

A serious change of committee is required and loks entirely possible. It is currently just a glorified car boot/ jumble sale and really doesn't do much for the town other than getting a load of people together. Please try harder!

In other places events like this are run by the local chamber of commerce or the Lions/Rotary clubs. They might have a better clue. Maybe the council should do it.

Or you should take a break and see if anyone misses it!
