Last night I witnessed a youth weeing in our street. There is always screeching and shouting at the weekends as people fall out of the pubs. Does anyone care about the Burraton area anymore?
Is this the thin end of the wedge for our little town now there are hardly any police officers?

That is disgusting. We've lived in Saltash for a year and I've seen very little bad behaviour so it surprises me. However I rarely go out in the evening so that may be why. I'm surprised at the comment that there isn't much for young people to do in the town as there seems quite a lot to me.....Livewire, K3, the skatepark, town band, sports activities, scouts etc and various other groups. Young people will hang around in groups anyway as that's what they do, and is generally a positive thing. They tend to be easily demonised as it can make people uncomfortable to walk past a big group. My bugbear is that the young people, and the elderly population are very well catered for but those of us in between seem to have nowhere to go other than pubs. Fore Street could be a much nicer place if it had a thriving evening life with cafes, bistros, maybe an arts centre for all ages with performance space etc.
