The Saltash Camera Club has been active for some five decades, providing a welcoming environment in which local people can discuss and develop their photographic skills.
The group meet every Monday evening at 7:15pm for a 7.30pm start from September to May (excluding Bank Holidays) at the Ashtorre Rock Community Centre in Old Ferry Road (right underneath the Brunel Bridge)., which has easy disabled persons access.
We are always pleased to see new faces, whether you're a virtual beginner or someone who has enjoyed taking photos for many years, so why not come along a few times and see if you'd like to join the club?
Our regular activities include competitions, both within the group and with other clubs across the region.
We also have invited guests, talking about various methods and demonstrating techniques, field trips at different times in the year, and practical evenings, including sessions for portraiture and macro photography. Saltash Town Council awarded a Community Chest Grant for a digital projector. We Wish to thank them for this as it is now used on a weekly basis for presentations and competitions. The projector also allows us to present our own slide shows and also allows "live" lessons in Adobe Photoshop and other media applications.
We have photographers who use both Digital and Film cameras, covering a range of medium from Black and White, to Colour and Slides. So if you have a camera or an interest in photography we will have something of interest for you.
Hopefully will meet you in the near future
Regards
Pete Welsh
