National Census Form

The census questionnaire forms by the Office for National Statistics have been arriving in Saltash homes this week and should be filled out and returned by census day 27th March.
Saltash Town Council is calling for all Saltash residents to fill in the census form this month, as it is perceived to be crucial to the future funding of Cornwall.
Those running the Census in Cornwall estimate that each person who does not fill in the form costs Cornwall at least £330 per year in funding – for the estimated 25,000 residents of Cornwall who did not fill in their form last time that works out at £80 million over 10 years!
Adam Killeya the Saltash Town Mayor commented, “The more people who fill in the form, as they legally have to do, the more funding Cornwall gets. We also want people to be aware that they have the option of ticking the ‘other box’ and answering ‘Cornish’ to three particular questions – Q15 on Nationality, Q16 on Ethnicity and Q18 on Language.”
