Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) are delighted to announce that they will be holding their very own It's a Charity Knockout again this year.
After the success of last year's event which raised over £17,500 for the local children's charity and their Little Harbour 'hospice by the sea', CHSW will be hosting another day of fun and competitions on Sunday 11th May at Truro Rugby Club.
The day will be filled with teams battling it out against each other at the silliest and messiest games, all to try to be crowned the Charity Knockout Champions!
For the second year in a row, St Austell based company, Polymermedics, are sponsoring the event. The company are a loyal supporter of CHSW and all of the work that the charity does.
Neil Skyba, Technical Manager at Polymermedics says "We had so much fun taking part last year, there were a lot of laughs and it definitely brought out our competitive sides. I am so pleased that Polymermedics are able to sponsor the event again and be involved with fundraising for such a worthwhile cause. We are already thinking about our teams and team names!"
Teams of 7-10 are invited to register to take part in this year's fun filled Charity Knockout. It is the perfect event for team building with colleagues, competing against other branches and departments or simply having a fun day with friends, family or team members all for a worthy cause.
Registration is online and costs just £20 per person and each team is asked to raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship, which between a team of ten people is just £50 each!
Sarah Stott, Events Fundraiser for Little Harbour says "We are very excited to be putting on It's a Charity Knockout again this year and to have Polymermedics on board as sponsors means that more of the funds raised can go straight to our children and families. This event has to be one of the most fun ways to fundraise and have a brilliant day out at the same time. I would urge anyone thinking of taking part to get their team registered as early as possible to guarantee their place and give themselves maximum time for fundraising.
To find out more information or register for the event, simply visit www.chsw.org.uk/knockout or call the Little Harbour Fundraising Team on 01726 871800.
The money raised from It's a Charity Knockout will go towards the vital care and support offered to children with life limiting illnesses and their families in the Cornwall, Plymouth and surrounding areas. CHSW offer planned respite breaks, emergency stays, end of life care and bereavement support as well as a caring ear on the end of the phone day or night.
