A bike ride involving over 80 motorcyclists donning Santa Suits and riding from Ivybridge down to Little Harbour children's hospice in St Austell earlier in December had over £1000 pledged in sponsorship for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).
The event was organised by local man Dale Harrison who said "Around 80 riders around the South West came together dressed as Santa on this special day. They did it for the children of Little Harbour. Bikers from many different backgrounds with a common goal; raising money to support some very special children and their families."
Community Fundraiser for CHSW Judy pride said "This bike ride was a fantastic event and the amount raised from it is absolutely brilliant. On behalf of everyone at Little Harbour, staff, families and especially the children I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part, everyone who donated and for all of you for thinking of us this Christmas."
Money raised from this event will go straight to Little Harbour and be put towards the care and support offered to families with children suffering from life limiting conditions. Little Harbour has recently celebrated its 2 year anniversary of being open and relies heavily on fundraising from the local community and businesses to keep being able to provide what it does for local families.
