A charity calendar, put together by hairdressing students at Cornwall College Saltash, is proving to be a cut above the rest. Launched in January it has been sold to raise money for Bowel Cancer West.

The calendars, which were funded by the College, were sold for £3 each and with all proceeds from sales, as well as other donations, the group are hoping to have raised in excess of £200.
The students, who are all studying NVQ Level 3, spent time last year creating a range of styles that were then included in a photo shoot for their portfolios.
They then decided to use the images to create a calendar showing off their hairdressing skills while also raising money for a good cause.
Student Tahlia Lane from Launceston said: "It was great to see our work featuring in the calendar and we are all really proud to have been able to use this as a way to support a great charity. They have sold really well, especially to friends, family and staff here at the College."
The group's tutor Gina Reed said: "We were thrilled with how the calendar looks and I'm really proud of all the hard work the students and their models put in. It has been a real success and it has been great seeing it hanging in offices all around the College."
Head of College Andrew Counsell added: "The sale of the calendars has raised a fantastic amount for charity and it has also managed to demonstrate the skill of our hairdressing students and their creativity and flair."
