Andrew Ball, age 19 years old from Saltash did a fantastic job as he passed through screaming crowds along Callington Road and Fore street in Saltash this evening at 7.45pm.

Andrew carried the Olympic torch through Saltash and along the Tamar Bridge into Devon at 8.00pm, nearly an hour late but nobody seemed to mind as the crowds cheered him along.

Well done to all of the torch bearers and all of the people and organisations that have gone to so much trouble to make this a very memorable day.
