Good Luck Santas and Where Are You Elves?

Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) is wishing all of its Santas that have already signed up to take part in Santas on the Run good luck and they are also on the lookout for some helpful elves to volunteer at the event in Launceston on Sunday 15th December.
Volunteers are required to be marshals at key points around the 2km route which goes around the town. Marshals will need to contact Little Harbour in advance of the event day and then be registered and ready on the day by 11am, the run will start at midday and will be completed by 1pm.
So if you are free on the day, would like to be involved in the event but don't fancy donning the santa suit and running the 2km yourself then why not help make this event happen and be a marshal instead?
Sarah Stott, Events Fundraiser for CHSW explains the value of volunteers "We simply couldn't do what we do without the dedicated volunteers who come along to help on the day, they are so important and really do help to make it all happen – and they have a great time getting involved too! I would like to thank everyone who has already signed up to be a marshal and encourage anyone who is thinking about it to give me a call."
If you have friends, family members or colleagues taking part then this is the perfect way to see them on route and do your bit to help this event be a great success.
If you are interested in being a marshal for Santas on the Run then please call Little Harbour on 01726 871800 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
This is the first time that the sponsored run has been held in Launceston and with 150 Santas signed up to take part already it is set to be a fantastic festive event.
If you are interested in taking part as a Santa on the Run then there is still time to register which costs just £10 per person or £25 per family of four. Registration includes a free Santa suit as well as a medal and festive treat at the end of the run.
The route is a 2km circular route which you can run, jog or walk. Starting in the Town Square Santas will run up Windmill Hill, through Coronation Park through the town and will go around the Castle grounds and up Western Road before ending back at the Town Square.
So put the date in your diary and come and get involved in the first ever Santas on the Run in Launceston, either as a Santa or a very helpful elf marshal!!! All funds raised from the event will go towards the care and support given to the children with life limiting conditions and their families that CHSW support through their 'hospice by the sea'; Little Harbour in St Austell.
