The big question on the lips of all Carlsberg South West Peninsula clubs today will be who has escaped the "big freeze"?

Sub-zero temperatures could account for many of the 23 scheduled league fixtures – and will the one outstanding Cornwall Senior Cup third round tie survive?

That tie has been switched to Porthleven's Gala Parc after Camelford's Trefrew Park pitch failed to pass inspections on two consecutive weekends.

If played, it will complete the draw for the quarter-finals with the winners travelling to Peninsula West Division side Truro City.

The battle at the top of the Peninsula Premier Division is certainly hotting up with league leaders Launceston looking to extend their three-month tenure of pole position by winning at Elburton Villa.

The Clarets will be aware they are a facing a Villa side that has shown great form of late having lost only twice in their last ten league games.

Villa had four of their first-team squad missing for last weekend's 1-0 victory at St Blazey but Chris Clarke has recovered from the hamstring injury and Jack Alexander and Lewis Daw are both free of work commitments while striker Levi Landricombe is back from his holidays.

Blazey manager Bobby Oaten appears to have completed the signing of Newquay goalkeeper Tom Blackler, who returns to Blaise Park after half a season at Mount Wise, and he joins the squad entertaining Dartmouth.

Midfielder Tom Barwell, signed from Tavistock, will have a late fitness test on his calf injury while Oaten includes Seb Broomfield in his squad after the former Swindon and Dorchester striker made a fleeting appearance for Bideford in their midweek St Lukes defeat by Tiverton.

Torpoint Athletic, who will have Josh Fenwick unavailable for a long time, due to work commitments, host cross-Tamar rivals Plymouth Parkway at The Mill.

Parkway could have Will Stringer and Lee Doel back from long-term injuries while striker Glyn Hooper is clear of suspension. Liskeard Athletic will be without central defender Jamie Evans for their trip to reigning champions Buckland Atheltic.

Saltash United have central defender Dan Bennett serving a one-match suspension for their trip to the Royal Marines while Ivybridge Town have a slight doubt over Jamie Middleton's injured knee as they host Penzance.

Bodmin Town travel to Bovey Tracey while Cullompton Rangers host St Austell. Mid Devon side Witheridge travel to Tavistock.
